Fitness Slap

Well now that I finally got all caught up with moving I’ve decided to deal with the 45 minute ride home after work and go to the gym I like. It’s so hard to be motivated to work out when your not happy with your location. On the other side of things thank god it’s staying lighter longer cause like this girl on the track I so need to go outside and play. Hell I work not too far from the beach so I think in another week or so I’ll start working out over that way cause I think it would be amazing. :)
Maybe I’ll make that my Friday workout.
On the diet side of things it’s great when I’m home, but at work it’s so hard. One of my work buddies has horrible eating habits and it’s so hard to beat him as in you know what they say put a healthy person in a room with an unhealthy person and the healthy person will end up eating unhealthy…why is that? So basically it’s a battle that I need to beat and I’m not quite sure how to do it, but if you have tips on how to get around a bad influence let me know?
I doubt he’ll change either which is sad actually. When my dad was young he was fit and good looking, but ate and smoke sort of like my friend at work and well that didn’t turn out well dying when your 56 of diabetes is not a way to end a life at all especially when there is so much living to do, but alas you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink no matter what you know or how much you care and that literally just sucks. Sigh.

High-res I started my new job today and almost ate my whole lunch before noon : / not sure what that’s about, but when your not home it’s like your body goes into starvation mode and wants to eat everything you have on you immediately thus causing hunger pain later…but I avoided that today. I do however think I need way more veggies on me I had a lil handful of dried fruit and some savannah smiles today that was my bad food (damn girl scout cookies).
Other than that I had to hit a new gym and you know that sucks major balls because you have to figure out where everything is again. Also, going after work means waiting on machines and such *sigh* it’s almost tempting to just work out outside in that case plus it was crazy hot inside….so not a fan of that gym. I miss my nice big one that has way more room than should be legal even when it’s packed you only wait 5 minutes for a machine and that’s a rarity…though I must say it’s good to be working again so I cant complain too much on that account and when you work sacrifices must be made except hitting the gym that shiz wont stop.
Well hope you all had a great day. Lates.

High-res Okay! Boys you gawk at the photo…I’d like to get something out there.
I work in marketing so I’m very familiar with sex selling, but I also know that their is research around it.
Take for example Carl’s Jr’s Kate Upton “having sex with a patty melt” ad. It’s hot so hot it distracts you from the sandwhich in the mean time sex has worked for Carl’s JR why? Because their main demo is men mainly men eat their and for some reason the selling of sex works for them way more than women otherwise why keep doing it?
Now when talking about fitness no doubt fit is sexy, but do you alienate audiences when you do this when you’re main demographic using your workouts is mainly women? I don’t think it deters women from doing the workouts, but when you look at the photo (at least in my case) you have to be thinking of being bent over a couch and a guy is about to do his thing. Now for me at least I don’t want to think about sex when exercising, but I do know men who take sexual frustrations out at the gym…but again mixed up marketing message?
I’m more interested in hearing thoughts than straight up debating I think it’s interesting to see what the general fitspo community thinks. So final question do photos like this make you want to workout, turn you off, or turn you on to the point that you either want a guy or a vibe?

“I don’t eat unless I feel hungry”

This is what I’ve been trying to do. Sure sometimes I just want a snack, but I figure the first part in overcoming the diet is to really start listening to your body. If you feel your stomach is hungry then eat, but if it’s not don’t eat. I know a lot of people say you should eat every 2.5 hours, but honestly sometimes I’m just not hungry and if I don’t feel like eating I don’t instead I might go drink some water or chew some gum to get rid of my snack needs because I know eventually my tummy will growl and then I’ll need to eat, but in the mean time I can curve those cravings I get.

New favorite!
It’s tofu, peppers, spinach, cumin, chili powder and colliander it kind of ends up tasting like a fajita. It was awesome and I totally recommend it. It’s funny because this is the first time I cooked tofu it’s actually quite nice with the right spices.

Ummmm guys guess what?

I did box jumps today in HIIT (I swear she’s trying to kill us this class had zero stopping) and anyway I managed to do 5 rises on each side without killing myself ha! Honestly when I first started people were lucky to get me on 1 riser mainly because I have zero coordination, but now my legs are way stronger and my knees no longer hurt when I jump and it’s fantastic.
Anyway I totally recommend HIIT courses they are calorie burners great for people who want to lose weight also great for those looking to become a little bit more athletic and it’s a great way to interrupt a boring routine of just running and weight lifting and running some more (unless you really love running in that case you go glen coco!)
Hope you’re all having a great day!
